Same Love and Care
One Saturday afternoon some dear Christians from the church in Kalookan, Philippines came and preached the gospel to me in a gospel meeting held at my high school. That day I received the Lord. I got regenerated (born again), and from that day my life changed. I now have a different view of life and I know what my life is for. As a human being, I was made to contain and express God.
Not only did I find the Lord that day, I also found some sincere believers to worship with. Since day one of my Christian life these dear brothers and sisters have guided, encouraged, cherished and nourished me with Christ through the Word of God and through their experiences.
In August 1995 I came to the United States due to a job situation. But before I came I learned that there was a local church in the same city where I would be working. I was so happy and thankful to God. Right now I’m enjoying meeting with a local church in Pennsylvania. Although the faces may be different, the love and care that I get in every local church is the same. Hallelujah!
Sweeter As The Days Go By
This is my experience as I look back to that time when I received the Lord into my heart. As the days, weeks and years go by, my relationship with the Lord becomes sweeter, richer, fuller and deeper. I love the Lord more and more each day.
This love is renewed whenever I touch the Lord, and one way for me to touch the Lord is to call on His name (Romans 10:12). I learned the practice of calling on the name of the Lord from reading a small book written by Witness Lee. I’ve also seen many Christians practice this and have seen how it made their Christian life richer. What an enjoyment it is to call on His name! My spirit is revived and my love to the Lord is renewed and refreshed day by day.
